Loving my lock down lessons.

When I heard we were going back into lock down at the beginning of January this year, I was really upset, as I only just felt we were getting back into the swing of things and I LOVE delivering our face to face sessions in the community and through primary schools and nursery and pre-school settings.

Here at Lingotot Darlington we have been offering online sessions via Zoom since lock down 1 in March 2020. After a reluctant start, I am actually now loving my lock down lessons and so are our lovely Lingotots.

The sessions give me a focus each week and mean I can teach live and keep in contact with my learners. I have regulars, children joining that are currently not at school as they are learning from home and those dipping in and out to see what we are all about. Our sessions are great to make sure your child is getting their language provision during this time. We have children and their grown ups joining from Hartlepool, Seaham, Edinburgh, Limerick and the furthest yet Zimbabwe!

The children seem happy to see me and the other Lingotots each week and we enjoy songs, games and stories in French together. I regularly receive photos and videos of them taking an acive part in our sessions and positive feedback from parents.

Thank you so much for this - this is why I do what I do! This gives me great pleasure, seeing the children enjoying and engaging with language learning at such a young age.
