Norwich Lingotot Centre
Bonjour! Salut! Hallo! Hej! Hola!
My name is Jo Ahrenfelt and I am delivering Lingotot classes to babies, toddlers and children in community venues, nurseries, pre-schools and primary schools across Norfolk.
I am a mum of two bilingual children, aged 8 and 6, and a qualified languages teacher. I have such a passion for languages and have been teaching languages in the primary and secondary classroom for fifteen years. I have enjoyed every moment of this time as I find it so satisfying and rewarding to use my creativity, energy and subject knowledge to pass on my love of languages to children and make learning exciting and relevant for all. I am thrilled that I can now do this as a member of the Lingotot family!
As a languages specialist, I have personally witnessed the tremendous amount of progress children make using the Lingotot programme over other teaching methodologies. Lessons are highly interactive, engaging and lots of fun with plenty of games, play, storytelling and drama, almost entirely conducted in the foreign language.
A recent national report has shown a steep decline in the number of teenagers in the UK learning a language. If we are to reverse this decline, it is essential that children are engaged at an earlier age. Lingotot teachers are helping primary schools in the UK deliver high quality language programmes and I am delighted to be supporting this programme in primary schools across Norfolk, where pupils receive formal recognition of their achievements. These bespoke qualifications are accredited by NCFE and benchmarked at entry level, one step before GCSE, which sets children on the right path for progression in language learning as they make the transition from primary to secondary school.
With Lingotot, I want to encourage children to learn a new language from an early age in a fun and exciting way. Lingotot lessons are interactive, engaging and suitable for everybody. Learning a language opens up so many opportunities to experience the wider community and encourages open-mindedness and equality between different cultures. If you would like your child to gain these valuable skills and have lots of fun along the way and are interested in your child attending a Lingotot session at a community class, nursery, pre-school or primary school near you, please email me. Equally, if you are a school interested in meeting your National Curriculum requirements for foreign language provision and PPA cover, I would be delighted to visit to give you and the pupils a demonstration of how the Lingotot method works and discuss with you how we could work in partnership together. My email address is firstname.lastname@example.org.
I look forward to hearing from you.
A bientôt! Bis bald! Hasta pronto!
