Solihull Lingotot Centre
Welcome to Lingotot Solihull! Hi, I'm Steph Banks, owner of Lingotot Solihull. I have over 25 years experience of teaching languages in both primary and secondary schools and absolutely LOVE what I do! Below are some of our most frequently asked questions, plus some you may not have thought of! Please get in touch if you’d like more information about our services at firstname.lastname@example.org
Which languages do you teach?
We can teach French, Spanish and German, but if you're looking for Mandarin, Italian, Arabic or Welsh, please get in touch with Lingotot Head Office who will be able to point you in the right direction for online classes from our colleagues around the country. You can also find details of Lingotot Solihull classes, and those of other Lingotot franchisees, on www.clubhubuk.co.uk.
Which type of classes do you offer?
- Little Lingotot (0-4 yrs) - a perfect way to immerse your baby or preschool child in a new language, plus you’ll be learning alongside them! These currently take place in the beautiful village hall in Catherine-de-Barnes, Solihull
- Nurseries (0-4 yrs) - we can bring our Little Lingotot classes into nurseries and stimulate those amazing little brains before they’re ready to start school!
- Primary School PPA (4-11 yrs) - delivering an outstanding MFL curriculum to pupils whilst providing staff PPA cover. Lingotot offers the only primary languages qualifications for children in the UK and is fully accredited by NCFE CACHE, an OfQual regulated awarding body
- Extra-curricular Clubs (4-11 yrs) - our lunchtime and after-school clubs are a fun and interactive way to pick up a new language whilst at school
- Holiday Camps (5-11 yrs) - a brilliant way to keep your children entertained in the school holidays whilst learning a new language at the same time!
What’s the best age for a child to start learning a new language?
You’re never too young (or too old!) to learn a new language. Children’s brains soak up new language like a sponge and you’ll be amazed at how quickly they pick up the new sounds and words.
Won’t it get confusing for them whilst they’re trying to master their own language?
In short, no! Learning a foreign language has been shown to enhance general language acquisition, as well as boosting creativity, social skills and all-round academic ability. It’s a win-win!
Why are some of your prices higher than those of other providers?
Without blowing our own trumpet, it’s because we’re the best at what we do, and there’s a lot of skill and training involved in delivering the highest quality language-learning experiences for your children. Lingotot teachers are qualified specialists in teaching primary languages, enhanced DBS-checked and trained in safeguarding and first aid.
Why do the prices of your clubs vary between schools?
This is because the prices of the schools’ own after-school care vary. We set our prices to correspond with each school’s charging policy.

Great holiday camp for kids
My 5 year old daughter went to the 2 day holiday camp and loved every second of it. I was amazed at how much they did and how many words she had remembered. Great holiday camp for kids to have fun and learn.

Best holiday club she has been to!
My 7 and 4yr old attended the two day holiday club.
My 7 yr old said it was the BEST holiday club she has been too!
They both came out with so much to say! They loved the games and crafts. I can’t believe how many activities they fitted into 2 days.
They are both so proud of the Spanish they learnt while there.
Will definitely use again for holiday club.

Would definitely recommend!
Steph is amazing, always so friendly and patient with the kids! Both of my girls love Lingotots, my 1 year old can say some key spanish words in the right context and my 3 year old is soaking it all up like a sponge. She sings along in Spanish with Steph and they both love the games, I'm learning new things every week too. Would definitely recommend!
Emily from Usbourne Books
Fabulous group with stories, sing songs and craft activities too. Keeps the attention of little ones, in a fun and interactive way all whilst learning a different language - even as an adult I managed to learn a fair amount! I’m so pleased I came across this little group, I would absolutely recommend trying it out.

A really lovely feel to the class
Steph is really welcoming and enthusiastic about the language and all of our babies and toddlers. There's a really lovely feel to the class and my Little Lingotot loves it because there are lots of actions!
Hannah Cook, Headteacher
This half term at Bentley Heath Primary School, Year 4 have had the privilege of being taught French by Steph Banks who runs Lingotot! The children thoroughly enjoyed these lessons and have really grown in confidence with their French speaking abilities. They practised greetings, the alphabet and learning names of family members. Steph was great at using songs to teach the children and they certainly stick in your head! As a teacher, it was great to sit in these lessons and pick up on new ways of teaching languages such a through songs and games.
Heather in Class 9 said, “I have really enjoyed doing French because we do lots of activities and the teacher makes us laugh! We also sing with her which I love!"
Harry in Class 10 said, “I have found French lessons fun, Mrs Banks makes it fun! I have enjoyed learning how to greet people in French!"
