Autumn Term 2024 now open for bookings!
Posted: Mon, Jul 15, 2024 10:59 AM
¡Hola y bienvenido a LingoClub!
We run the school’s main Ofsted registered after-school provision every day of the academic year until 6pm! We also run holiday clubs every school holiday at Hove Park High School (Nevill Campus). You can book our summer holiday club here.
We offer early and late sessions and always hold some spaces for ad hoc bookings for those days where you just need a bit of extra time. We also offer ad hoc session extensions if you’re booked for an early session but can’t make it on time! We are also flexible with pick up times and you can ring our doorbell if you arrive early to take your child home.
You can book ad hoc sessions here.
We also offer an exciting timetable of extra-curricular clubs which run alongside our main provision. These clubs are run in smaller groups with dedicated staff and are more structured than our main club. Here's our Extra-Curricular timetable for the Summer Term (more details for each club can be found at the bottom of this page):
Our Ofsted-registered club is a fun, friendly, immersive Spanish setting, with a team of long-standing staff who get to know your children and plan activities to nurture their interests.
Once we have picked them up from their classroom (older children are allowed to make their own way to us), and they've had some of the fresh fruit we offer, children are then free to play football, run around, have fun with our hula hoops, or create their own world outside in our big playground. We encourage children to go outside in all weather and they love the fresh air. Alternatively, we have at least four stations inside, where they can take part in our daily, staffed arts and crafts activity, play with lego, play interactive board and card games, or play freely with their friends.
We also have an Early Years Zone - this is just for our reception children. Although children in reception can use everywhere in the club, and they do, they also have this space just for them which is full of toys for them to play with if they need a bit of down time after their day at school. There is always a dedicated member of staff based at our Early Years Zone.
If you have any questions, you can email us at lingoclub@lingotot.com.

Club Prices:
Early session (until 5.00pm) £10
Full session (until 6pm) £15
Extra-Curricular clubs (in addition to main club fee) £2.50
Skateboarding (in addition to main club fee) £5.00
How Extra-curricular clubs work:
At the end of your child's school day, we will pick them up from their classroom and bring them to the main school hall, where they will be given some fresh fruit to enjoy and give them some energy for their club(s)!
We will then take your child to their extra-curricular club, where they will have a structured session in a smaller group, with a dedicated member of staff. When the session is finished, they will join our main club until pick up time! Extra curricular clubs run for 45-60 minutes.
If you choose one of our early session clubs, these will happen within our early club (1 or2) session, so you can choose the earlier pick up time of 4.45pm. However, if you sign up to a late session, you will need to book a full LingoClub session too.
If you'd like to sign up for a club you can do so on our booking form. The cost of the sessions (all £2.50 except for skateboarding, which is £5), will be added to the price of your early or full LingoClub session. For example, if you sign up for Football and choose the earlier pick up time of 5.00pm, the total cost of each session will be £12.50 (£10.00 LingoClub fee + £2.50 extra curricular fee). If you choose football and a full session pick time of 6.00pm, the total cost of each session will be £17.50 (£15 LingoClub fee + £2.50 extra curricular fee).
About our Extra-curricular clubs:
HOWL Choir (open to Years 4-6): Clare from HOWL Choirs will be running our choir from September. Clare is a fantastic and inspiring conductor who will teach a wide range of music in parts, mainly modern pop! It has been wonderful watching our students grow in confidence in their singing this year, so we are taking it to the next level by brining Clare in and we can't wait to hear their first recording (which we will of course share with parents and carers!).
Football (Monday sessions open to Reception and Years 1 & 2; Tuesday sessions open to Years 3, 4, 5, &6): A structured session with our professional football coach, Luca! Learn new skills and play matches every week.
Spanish Creative Club (open to all year groups): Create something amazing in our small group session with Gisela, our amazing Club Tutor. This group go home smiling with their new creations each week, it is such a joy to see!
Spanish Lego Club: Build a new structure every week with our guided lego sessions - open to all year groups!
Spanish Music Workshop (open to Reception - Year 2): An introduction to different musical techniques with our amazing teacher (and BPS parent!) Pedro, encouraging our younger LingoClub-bers to explore the foundations of music, melody, rhythm and harmony using different musical instruments tools.
Spanish Guitar Group (open to Years 3-6): Work with a small group to learn the guitar or hone your skills with our amazing teacher (and BPS parent!) Pedro. These sessions combine music, Spanish and teamwork.
Netball (open to Years 2-5): Learn netball skills and take part in games with our professional coach, Luca! Luca's clubs have been so popular since they started and more have been requested, so here we go!
Drumming Workshop (open to Years 3-6): New for September! Learn how to use your rhythm with a group as we welcome Al's Drumming School to BPS to run his fab drumming workshops!
Multi Sports (open to all year groups): Try out a different sport each week with our sports coach Luca. Luca is planning lots of new and familiar sports, such as tag rugby, soft-ball cricket, dodgeball and many more...
Spanish Skateboarding (taught in groups - Group A Reception - Year 2 inclusive; Group B Years 3-6 inclusive): Ricardo and Joe 'drop in' every week with their pads, helmets and boards to show our small group of budding boarders how it's done! This club is extremely popular and always has a waiting list, so let us know if you'd like to join it!
