The Natwest EWIF Awards are an annual celebration of women in franchising. EWIF’s mission is to educate, inspire and empower women who are in, or who are looking to get into the franchising industry and these awards are one way they achieve this.

There are a number of categories and they look at franchise businesses of all kinds. This year there are a whole host of amazing franchises in the mix and women from different roles within the franchising sector.

The children’s language franchise Lingotot is amongst those finalists. The franchise was founded in 2010 by Angela Sterling when she was looking for a flexible career option that allowed her to continue teaching. Angela has steered the language franchise expertly through two years of covid-19 where their business model moved completely online. In recognition of the hard work she put in during 2021 she has been shortlisted for ‘Woman Franchisor of the Year’ in this year’s EWIF awards.

Angela says, ‘I have been incredibly grateful for our Lingotot network during this past year. We have stuck together and not only pulled through 2021, but we have grown on so many levels. Thank you to EWIF and everyone involved for this incredible recognition.’
