LingoTed makes a new friend

LingoTed made a new friend when Alex brought his nursery teddy bear along to the Lingotot class he attends with grandma, Alison.

“We wanted Oswald (named after St Oswald’s nursery school) to learn French, too!” said Alex, 4.

Alison is delighted at how her grandson is picking up the language. She said, “He teaches his sister what he has learned when he gets home and we are having great fun with the LingoTunes CD. We all sing along in the car, especially to the numbers song! When Alex stays at my house he insists on me reading a book about colours to him in French at bedtime and always says "bonne nuit". We have been watching a DVD with Peppa Pig in French and he is so excited when he hears words that he knows. It's all  just great!”

“The children are all doing brilliantly,” says Joanna who leads the Newton Aycliffe class attended by Alex and Alison. “It was fantastic when Alex brought along his lovely French story book – "Le Chat arc-en-ciel", all about colours and animals, to share with his Lingotot friends."

If you would like to come along and learn French just like Alex and Alison, Lingotot South Durham offers fun and interative community classes in French every Tuesday morning in Newton Aycliffe, Tuesday afternoons in Wolsingham and Spanish every Monday morning in Crook. We look forward to welcoming you to a class very soon!
