Lingotot’s Online Christmas Festival Brings Language Learning to Children All Over the UK

Last week Lingotot hosted their second successful Online Festival, this time centered around all things Christmas. They were joined by schools, nurseries, preschoolers and homeschoolers from around the UK, all taking part in the language learning Christmas festivities. Lingotot realised that the normal celebrations leading up to Christmas can’t go ahead, whether it’s a school play or going to see Santa, so they wanted to add some extra Christmas cheer.
Each individual throughout the Lingotot franchise has worked tirelessly to adapt and overcome the hurdles that 2020 has thrown up. The Online Christmas Festival is a perfect example of this adaptation to new norms. They have continued to bring positivity and a love of languages into schools and households in the true spirit of Christmas.
Participants in this last week’s Online Christmas Festival were treated to live language lessons in French, German, Italian, Mandarin and Welsh. They not only worked on their vocabulary for these languages, but also delved into the culture of each country, sang Christmas songs and participated in Christmas crafts!
