Hola!

My name is Aubrey Hernandez, and I am originally from Costa Rica. I have been living in Ireland for over four years and bring more than 20 years of experience working with children and young people in a variety of educational and youth development settings.

My journey has taken me across different countries and roles. I spent eight years in Wisconsin, USA, working as a Camp and Youth Director, where I developed engaging programs that supported children's growth, confidence, and social development. Returning to Costa Rica, I worked for seven years as a middle and high school Science teacher at an international school, fostering curiosity, critical thinking, and a love of learning in my students. Most recently, I have been working in Ireland as an Afterschool Manager in a local primary school, supporting children and families within the community.

As a fully bilingual English and Spanish speaker, I am passionate about helping children learn languages in a fun, natural, and engaging way. I believe that language learning should be interactive, playful, and culturally enriching.

I also have a deep love of travel and enjoy learning from different cultures and experiences around the world. These experiences have shaped my approach to education and allow me to bring a global perspective, warmth, and enthusiasm to every child I work with.

I am excited to share my love of language, learning, and culture with the children and families at Lingotot Dublin City South.
