Bonjour!
My name is Chris and... I am a confusing person. I was born and raised in Switzerland by then-American parents who were teachers in an international school by Lake Geneva. My first languages are English and French. By the time I left school, I had studied or tried 7 languages. I have since continued enjoying learning languages, even though fluency is not always in sight.
After a gap year in Dublin, I got my BA at the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School (during summer holidays I was a sailing instructor at my old school's summer camp - clearly I already knew I should teach). I then worked at a theatre technician/ lighting designer/tech teacher/ technical director after graduation in Switzerland, Hawaii, England and Wales at Sherman Theatre. When COVID hit, theatres shut and I went back to Switzerland to be with family. When I came back to Wales, I re-trained at Aberystwyth University as a Drama teacher. Since then I have taught English, French, Music, Literacy and others...
I am super excited to Auntie all the little ones to learn French, more languages to follow!

Italian improvement
We love our Italian lessons with Chris. Both my kids look forward to them and I’ve seen such a difference in their use of the language and also their enjoyment of learning it.

Fun and accessible
Our language coach Chris Hearne is wonderful. She makes learning a second (or third or fourth) language fun and accessible for all age groups. Chris is incredibly patient with children.

Singing between lessons
The kids have really enjoyed this bilingual lingotot experience. The ask about it in between lessons, and have been singing the songs on their own. They enjoy the dances and the stories, and the experience of learning another language through fun.
