Hello, bonjour et ciao a tutti!

My name is Hazel and I live in Clevedon with my husband, two children and our cockerpoo! Languages were always my favourite subject throughout school - I could never get enough of it; discovering new links between words and new ways of looking at the world…

After school, I followed my passion for languages with a BA degree in European Studies with French and Italian – mostly chosen as it included a year abroad in beautiful Italy! After that, I qualified as a primary school teacher, with a PGCE Primary with Modern Foreign Languages specialism.

Since then, however, although I have continued to work with children in many different settings: as a teacher, classroom support, supply, in nurseries, as a childminder and an after-school tutor – my love for languages has evolved into more of a personal hobby. I have even started to learn new languages, Spanish and Japanese… but I have not managed to find a way to integrate the two passions: working with young children and learning and using languages… until now!

Enter Lingotot! Back in the present day, I have finally found the perfect way to spread the magic and wonder I felt as a child, learning French and Italian for the first time through song and stories. I’ll be offering parent and baby sessions, nursery visits, primary after-school clubs and more from September 2026, in Clevedon and the surrounding areas… watch this space!

I can’t wait to meet you all and get started!

See you soon,

Hazel
