About South Durham

Hello, bonjour and hallo!

My name is Erica and I am the franchisee for Lingotot South Durham.

I'm originally from Northern Ireland, have two fun boys (4 and 5) and seem to spend most of my time building dens and building lego!

I studied both French and German for A-Level and continued them at Durham University. I spent my year abroad teaching in both Austria and France before following my heart back to the North East to do my PGCE. I left teaching to spend as much time with my littlies as possible but now they're in school, it feels the right time to jump back into what I love - teaching languages and working with little minds!

My lingotot classes offer fun and interactive lessons for children to have fun whilst doing wonderful things for their development. I offer French and German languages in the form of community classes, PPA lessons, after school clubs and nursery classes. All lessons involve games, songs, stories and crafts so they are engaging and interactive.

I hope to meet many budding linguists in South Durham soon!

After School Club

The boys LOVE Lingotots!
It’s the only club I have sent them to that they genuinely get excited about every week and always coming out saying ‘bonjour!’ They are so enthusiastic on a Monday knowing they have this after school!
So thank you for making it such a fun, active and educational club ☺️

Community After School Club

Miles comes home from every class full of excitement, proudly sharing the new French words and songs he’s learned. On our recent holiday he even used them to chat with a little French boy — I couldn’t believe it. Watching him grow in confidence and come out of each session beaming makes these classes truly special.
