Lingotot has developed a suite of customised qualifications accredited by NCFE, an Ofqual regulated awarding body. And importantly, we have qualifications for both the people delivering our programmes and the children taking part in them.
Specialist qualifications for our teachers
We believe that delivering excellent children's education starts with excellent teacher training. That's why our franchise training includes two specialist teaching qualifications:

Accredited language certificates for children

Our Lingotot Certificate in Primary Languages is accredited by NCFE and gives children the opportunity to work towards a British-accredited certificate recognising their language learning. The programme develops and assesses skills in listening, speaking, reading and writing, with three award levels benchmarked against Entry Levels 1, 2 and 3. For international franchise partners, this offers an additional way to demonstrate educational quality to schools and parents, while giving children something tangible to celebrate.

Lingotot was founded in 2010 by Angela Sterling, a former Head of Languages with extensive experience teaching children and young people. Angela's background includes working with Newcastle and Southampton universities on research into how children acquire foreign languages.
That educational expertise is at the heart of everything we do.
Rather than simply creating entertaining activities, Angela developed a progressive language curriculum combining research-informed teaching methods with the songs, stories, movement and games children naturally enjoy. What began as a single language class has grown into an award-winning franchise network, teaching more than 20,000 children every week. Along the way, we've developed nine language programmes, specialist teaching qualifications and accredited certificates for children, while building long-standing relationships with schools, nurseries and families.
