LingoClub - Opening at BPS September 2023!

Posted: Tue, Jun 13, 2023 6:15 PM

¡Hola y bienvenido a LingoClub!

We’ve been running after-school and holiday clubs across the local area for three years and we have a great reputation for providing exciting, inclusive and friendly provision with Spanish learning at the forefront of what we do.

We are really excited to be bringing LingoClub to BPS. We can’t wait to see some familiar faces, and to get to know some new children too! We’ll be running after-school clubs until 6.00pm every day of the school year, and holiday clubs every school holiday.

Ready to book? Click here.

Before we get started, we'd like to highlight that we are still waiting for our voluntary Ofsted registration to come through, and we are therefore unable to take childcare voucher or tax-free childcare payments at this stage. We are very sorry about this and are working to get this done as quickly as possible.

However, while we wait, we will be offering all customers a 10% discount on the prices below. This discount will apply until we are able to take childcare vouchers and tax-free childcare payments and will be applied on your invoice.

General Information:

Here are some details of what we are offering in our main after-school club from September:

  • A Spanish speaking, inclusive provision for children of all ages and open to every year group until 6.00pm, every day of the school year
  • An early session option, finishing at 4.45pm
  • A doorbell at the exit gate, so you can pick your children up anytime before the end of their session
  • A wide range of indoor and outdoor activities for the children to choose from, all carefully planned around Spanish learning
  • An Early Years zone for children in Reception (Reception children will also have access to the rest of the club, but this area will be exclusively theirs!)
  • A ‘chill zone’ where children may wish to spend some time in a calmer environment
  • Fresh fruit provided for all children at the start of after-school club
  • Time to eat a packed dinner, provided from home (this must be nut free)

Extra Clubs:

In addition to our fabulous after-school club, we will be offering a number of extra clubs. These will all be Spanish speaking clubs, with a skills focus. They will be run by external providers and our own staff. Our extra clubs will cost £2.50 in addition to your after-school club fee.

All extra clubs will take place on the BPS school site unless otherwise stated.

Extra Session 1 will run from 3.45 - 4.45pm. All children will be offered fresh fruit in the main hall before this club starts, and they will be taken to the club by a member of LingoClub staff.

Extra Session 2 will run from 5.00-6.00pm. Children joining extra session 2 will be given time to eat their packed dinner before their club starts.

Policies and procedures:

At LingoClub, we are constantly reviewing our policies and procedures to ensure they stand up to the highest standards of childcare. Every club and activity is thoroughly risk assessed and we ask parents and carers to complete risk assessments for their children with SEND or allergies so that we can fully support everyone at LingClub.

All of our policies and risk assessments are available to parents and carers on request. Hard copies are kept at BPS, or you can contact us to access any of them.
