Lingotot is proud to announce that we have been fully accredited by the Approved Franchise Association (www.theafa.org.uk).

Lingotot introduces children, aged 0-11, to a new language through a combination of play, movement, crafts, songs and stories. We teach French, Spanish, German, Chinese (Mandarin) and Arabic - the top 5 languages to learn as listed by the British Council.

The business has expanded rapidly across the UK and internationally and has won many awards along the way, but the AFA accreditation is significant according to Lingotot Founder, Angela Sterling, who says, “AFA accreditation has validated our commitment to ethical franchising. It provides current and prospective franchisees with a level of assurance that we do franchising properly, according the the AFA’s high standards”

The Approved Franchise Association only welcomes members who adhere to the Code of Ethics from the European Franchise Federation. In order to become a member of the AFA, franchisors must satisfy their criteria to prove that the business is sustainable, ethical and shared. These principles apply to franchisors seeking membership and underpin the entire accreditation process. Franchisors must demonstrate how they meet these standards and provide evidence.

By becoming a fully accredited AFA member, Lingotot has proven that the franchise meets these rigorous requirements and is a trusted member of the franchising community.

Claire Robinson, Chair of the Board & Chief Executive Officer of the AFA says, “We’re delighted to have Lingotot on board with the Approved Franchise Association, after seeing Angela on Dragons' Den and seeing how the franchise has grown in a short space of time is wonderful. The AFA is very much about promoting women in the franchise arena and Lingotot is prime example of a great franchise boasting mainly women franchisees.”
