Unit 12: What's the weather like?

 

In this unit the children learn more phrases about the weather as well as how to say the temperature (including using negative numbers). Aesop's fable The Wind and the Sun is used. The children learn the names of some common articles of clothing and relate these to the weather.

 

We will also revisit previous learning such as common weather phrases, numbers 0-40, the days of the week as well as the months of the year.

 

Our aim will be to create more complex sentences using our grammatical and sentences structures knowledge to write and perform a weather forecast we will pretend to broadcast on TV.
